Using the Friends menu to keep in touch with friends
Finding AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) buddies on Facebook
Similarly, you can use the link “AIM Instant Messenger” link (see image on previous page) to find friends with whom you keep in touch using AOL Instant Messenger.
Once you click that link, it expands to show you two text boxes: “Screen Name” and “AIM Password”. Once you fill them in and click the “Find Friends” button, Facebook will automatically find all those buddies listed in your AIM account, who have signed up for Facebook.

Finding friends from Email client contact file
Clicking on the link that says “Email Application” on the screen lets you select a “contact file” as the source of your friends list. You can use this feature only if you have such thick client email applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird or Apple Mail on your computer. If you wish to use this feature but do not know how to create a contact file from your email application, click on the link “Read how to create contact file here” – it appears just above the Contact File text box (shown in a red circle in the image below):
