Using the “Search” feature
Right above the Applications menu, is the Search link with the Search text box beneath it. While typing something in this text box and pressing Enter results in a basic search, Facebook provides a feature called “Advanced Search” as well. Clicking on the Search link brings you to the Basic Search homepage, which looks like the image below:
Clicking “Go to advanced search” (red circle above) will bring up the screen shown in the image below:
As the Advanced Search screen clearly states at the top, this feature is intended to search only your Facebook friends.
